Be Brave… Sign Up For A Triathlon!

I have been so excited to see the movie Brave. And yes, one of the reasons is because the girl has a head of amazing red hair! Anyway, Davey and I went to go see this movie and it was really cute and inspirational… in a Disney kind of way! I highly recommend it!

It also got me thinking about how you have to be brave to do a triathlon. Even just finding and signing up for a triathlon requires courage! I remember when I signed up for my first triathlon, I practically peed in my pants, I was so nervous. But it’s the small victories that help build confidence and courage… like pressing the send button on your race registration, or jumping in the water for your first pool workout, or conquering your fear of biking, or being able to run 3 miles when running for 3 minutes used to make you sore for a week.

So, here’s our challenge for you today: Be Brave and sign up for a triathlon. {I blame the bags under my eyes from my goggles… we did a swim workout right before going to see the movie. And yes, it also takes courage to go out in public with goggle marks around your eyes. My goggle marks take FOREVER to go away… can anyone else relate?!}

    I can’t wait to see this movie–going this week with my sister. And yes, it definitely was scary signing up (just two weeks ago) for my very first triathlon. But somehow pushing the button helped me feel less afraid. There’s no turning back now that it’s all “official!”

    Love your site and am eager to check out more posts. Thanks!

      Thanks for the comment @J.Perrino! So excited that you signed up for your first triathlon! Way to go! We’re cheering you on from cyberspace! You have some great stuff up on fiber & faith!

    Spike and I went and saw Brave last weekend too! LOVED it, especially for the red hair.

    I also absolutely agree, signing up for a triathlon takes bravery, and clearly I am not that brave… yet. 🙂

      Morgan, well with all those miles under your belt, I’d say you’re brave already!

    Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say you have done a amazing job with this. Also, the blog loads very fast for me on Internet explorer. Exceptional Blog!

      Thanks so much for your sweet comment Kristal! Made our day! We’ve worked hard to find that balance and it’s so nice to hear your feedback!
