Do you see what I see? We made it into the 2009 Emerald Nuts Midnight Run Video!

 

 

In 2009, we decided to ring in the new year with a race! What a better way to celebrate the start of a healthy new year  than by running 4 miles… at midnight!

It was FREEZING and the wind chill made it feel like -10°! It was so cold that the water at the aid stations was frozen! But even despite the cold, we had so much fun! So much fun that we decided to do it again this year!

We think that this is an awesome alternative to watching the ball drop in Times Square because we still get to spend New Years Eve in NYC but instead of battling the crowds, we get to run a few miles through Central Park! (And the firework show is incredible!)

 

 

So tonight at 11:45 we’ll gather into our pace corral, and at the stroke of midnight, we’ll take off running into the new year… with fireworks lighting up the night sky in the background!
