How To Set A New Year’s Resolution That You Will Keep!

We love this time of year and we love the fresh start that a new year brings. It’s just bursting with possibilities! We dream bigger dreams and make New Year’s resolutions in hopes that this is the year we will finally do, become, complete, succeed at ___________.

What’s your  “______” ? What’s the goal that you’ve been trying to accomplish? Do you notice that you seem to make the same resolutions year after year? Do you start out strong and then get bored or loose motivation after a few weeks?

It doesn’t take long before we get too busy, we become too tired, or quit because challenges and obstacles get in the way of our goal or dream. Sometimes we try harder until we’ve tried everything we know to do, other times we just come to the conclusion that our goal is just not possible.

The first step to setting a New Year’s resolution that you will keep is to

Every time I register for a triathlon or sign up for a 1/2 marathon, I wonder what I’ve gotten myself into! My first reaction is to wonder if I’ll even be able to finish. But guess what? I always finish. It takes hard work and dedication, and there are times I want to quit along the way, but then I look back and see how far I’ve come and I realize that I can do more than I ever thought possible.

And you can to.

Believe in yourself and take it one step at a time.
