  We are Davey and Jess, a down-to-earth guy and girl who have tons of triathlon tips, inspiration, training plans and triathlon workouts to help you reach your goal, beat your time, or conquer your fear of doing a triathlon.

After signing up for my {Jess} first triathlon a few years ago, I became really frustrated by the lack of fun, visually appealing and realistic triathlon training advice out there. I mean,  the people in all of the pictures looked like they were in pain and agony. I wondered what had I gotten myself into?! About Davey and Jess from TwoTri.com

Most of the books and magazines I read intimidated me and made me overwhelmed.

So I decided to wing it and figure it out on my own. I trained for 3 months for my 1/2 mile swim, 17 mile bike and 5 mile run by making up my own workouts and doing some strength training whenever I felt like it {which wasn’t very often}. I had lots of ups and downs, and while I don’t recommend this method of training,

 NOTHING beat the INCREDIBLY AWESOME feeling of crossing the finish line.

Doing a triathlon was one of the best decisions I ever made.

My self-esteem sky-rocketed, my confidence soared. I found that I had more stamina at work, I could think clearer and I was even a nicer person {probably because I worked out all my stress at the gym}. I was amazed at how my body was created to be able to do something as challenging as a triathlon.

Becoming a triathlete not only improved my fitness and made me a healthier person, but it enhanced my entire life. A few weeks after my triathlon, I flew from NJ to CA to visit some friends. And guess who I met? Davey! Davey was {and still is!} a handsome, Personal Fitness Trainer. In the past, I would have never talked to him because I was always self-conscious and nervous when I met someone new… especially a good looking guy.

However, the self-esteem I gained from having done a triathlon transferred over into my every aspect of my life and so when I met Davey, I was confident and self-assured.  I must have made a good impression on him, because the rest is history!

{We like to joke that doing a triathlon will help you find your spouse… and that’s not far from the truth!} I {Davey} have always had a passion for fitness and so it only seemed natural to become a Personal Trainer. I have helped many clients reach their fitness goals, loose weight, gain confidence and do more than they ever thought possible. And I want to do the same for you.

Jess and I have created this website to show you that doing a triathlon is possible! You can do it! Take yourself on.

Davey is a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and Jess is a Registered ER Nurse.  In our spare time, we love to travel, listen to live music, try new things, eat delicious food, and of course, do triathlons.

We believe that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made by God and that by training for a triathlon we honor God by keeping our body healthy and strong. Completing something challenging, like a triathlon, proves to us that we can indeed do all things through Christ who gives us strength and we want to convey that message to as many people as possible.
